55 years ago, THE LITTLE RED BOOK was published in which Lin Biao, the second leader of the Red Guards, compiled the quotes from Mao. Under pain of beating, the Chinese collectively quoted the contents of it. During the Cultural Revolution, Mao’s Communist Party controlled the whole of China. Mass hysteria, hatred and cruelty arose – the little red book had more than1 billion copies and was translated into several languages.
