I contenitori, 1968  – oil on canvas  – 243 x 364 cm
Exhibited ‘Centre Georges Pompidou – Paris’ 1986

Valerio Adami’s colourful oeuvre is characterized by a stylized smooth surface with strong contours. I contenitori is a surreal expression, inviting the observer to reconstruct the forming process of the image. To Adami, a painting is a complex whole that unpredictably makes new combinations that are in a constant state of transformation. Even from his first popart pieces, this Italian artist was already highly internationally appreciated. This extraordinairy painting was exposed and cataloged in the Centre Georges Pompidou  Paris  in the years 1986.
